Thank you for taking the time to visit my page.
My name is Lotte, and I'm a London-based yoga and meditation teacher and environmentalist. My love of movement began in 1998 when I discovered musical theatre. After over a decade of training with Italia Conti Associates, I found yoga a few years later and began practicing alignment-based Iyengar yoga. After finishing my first teacher training 2 years later in 2014, I completed my 500 hour certification in Vinyasa Flow in India in 2016.
My classes combine both of these practices for a well-rounded, down-to-earth approach to yoga; applied anatomy, precise alignment, and yogic philosophy, with fun and creative sequencing. I hope to empower my students to develop a deeper understanding of their bodies, to help improve their overall sense of wellbeing, and to give them an opportunity to find a sense of inner peace amidst the flux of city life.
Yoga is for everyone! All levels are very much welcomed in class, whether you're a complete beginner or pro. If you'd like to join me,
Yoga has never just been about being flexible or how well I can get into the poses - for me it's become a way of life, and provides me with a philosophy that on a daily basis, encourages me to be the best possible version of myself, for a purpose beyond the Self.
When I started to explore holistic practices, I began to understand my intrinsic connection to something higher, realising that I was part of something much, much greater, and in knowing that emerged a desire to at least try to do what I could within my own, humble means to realise a positive impact, no matter how great or small. I think this is where the real test of yoga lies; in how willing and able we are to truly embody its teachings off the mat.
Beyond the studio, by inspiring conversation around certain environmental issues and their human impact and through sharing my journey towards a more sustainable, ethical way of living, I hope to encourage others to do the same. This is how I intend to live my Yoga off the mat.
